Why Podcasts Are the S**t

I suffer from Prolific Research Syndrome. If you don't think that's a thing, you should see me in action. I click through to every article of even the smallest interest on Facebook before heading down a rabbit hole of university degree level study on the subject. I watch the series The Tudors on tv and then have to read endless biographies of Henry V111 and his posse to compare the dramatization to the real deal while looking for discrepancies. And I read articles and ebooks targeted at writers daily. All this on top of my daily work, kids, new puppy poop (which also happens to be prolific)  and being  the ultimate ( I'm mocking myself here) soccer mom, and it turns out there simply aren't enough hours in the day to satiate my irritating need to learn.

So how come no one told me how amazing podcasts are?

I knew what they were, of course, but until a few weeks backs, I'd never listened to one. Oh, how my world changed as I realized I could drive to my son's practice, put the laundry on, fit in some stomach crunches, and still be learning! Brilliant! Right now I've been loading up on copywriting podcasts to reinforce what I already know and teach me what I don't. But there's a whole world out there to be taught/discussed/debated on podcasts and you don't have to stop what you are doing to tap in.

So there you have it, my public service announcement of the day. Listen to podcasts and get smarter. The end.
